I thought about that, which is why I tested beforehand. I had taped a piece of Tygon 2375 I had laying around in the approximate position, no issues. I made some small changes after getting home today, mostly to make it look better and simpler. You can see I shortened the tube and am now using the P clip to secure the cap as well as holding the tube to the heat shield.

   

   

The tube has a maximum recommended operating temp of 54° C. While the exhaust pipes may get hot, the tube isn't close enough to be at risk of melting due to air circulation around it.
